Wind deflector for MGB 1962-1980 and RV8 1993-1996
Use a wind blocker in your MGB or RV8 Roadster to heavily reduce windblown hair, ear and neck discomfort and poor acoustics.
The model specific Windblockers Toplift offers are of very high quality, manufactured from the highest quality materials such as special woven mesh and steel tubular frame, covered with a hard wearing leatherette.
Please note that this wind deflector is tailored for the MGB model years 1962-1980 and RV8 1993-1996 and not a one-size-fits-all solution.
The windblocker is fitted in no-time, without the need of drilling holes or any other damage to your MG. It is fitted to the folding mechanism of the soft top, using the same screws that holds the folding mechanism.
The wind defector is supplied with instructional picture/pictures. We rarely get any questions on how the simple installation is made. But if you do have questions, we will try our very best to help you.

Mycket enkel att montera. Vindskyddets konsoler är förborrade för att passa bakom sufflettställningens tre skruvar och infästning till karossen. Vindskyddet ger en ombonad känsla och man slipper draget i nacken. Vindskyddet är konstruerat för att kunna fällas bakåt för bättre sikt då suffletten är uppe, samt vid användandet av lång tonneau. Kanske det går på en MGB/C Tourer, men inte på en MG RV8. Där tar suffletten emot, alternativt är vindskyddet något för högt.

Very easy to install. The brackets of the wind deflector are made to fit behind two of the three screws on the soft top folding mechanism. The wind deflector provides a comfy feeling and reduces the wind draft to the neck very much. The wind deflector is designed to be able to fold back to see better with the soft top up, and to have below a long tonneau. This might work on a MGB/C Tourer, but not on my MG RV8, where the soft top stops it from folding all way (or the wind defector frame itself is a little too high).

Helnöjd med Toplifts service och vindskyddet, som var mycket enkelt att montera. Om något negativt, så är kanske monteringsanvisningen är något otydlig i sitt utförande. Men mitt lilla sunda förnuft räckte mer än väl till vid montaget.

I am very pleased with the service from Toplift and the wind deflector, that was really easy to install. If something could be improved, it was the mounting instruction that was a bit unclear in its appearance. But trusting my own skills was more than enough to get it correct while installing it.

I am very pleased with the deliver and service. I ordered on Thursday and could collect it at Saturday afternoon at the local post office. I mounted it the same afternoon. It makes a lot of difference reducing the wind draft in our MGB Roadster 1970.
It is nice looking and simple to install in the existing brackets that hold the soft top. We are completely satisfied.

Mkt snabb leverans. Enkel och smidig konstruktion som är lätt att montera. Och draget i nacken blev påtagligt reducerat. Tycker dock att instruktionsbladen kunde ha högre kvalitet, de jag fick såg ut som kopia på kopia rätt många gånger, så bilderna var i allt väsentligt svarta. Kunde kanske vara en idé att ha dem digitalt på hemsidan för nerladdning 🙂

Very fast delivery. Simple and smooth construction that is easy to install. And the draft to the neck was heavily reduced. If something, I think that the instructions could be of higher quality, as the pictures was quite dark almost black. One idea could be to have them in digital for download on the web page 🙂

Jag köpte min MGB -74 för dryga tio år sedan. I samband med renovering av bilen passade jag på att köpa en vindavvisare från MG-center. Denna vindavvisare räknas som original-tillbehör. Efter många missnöjda år så tog jag bort den i våras och körde utan och kände skillnaden då det drog mer i nacken. Anledningen att jag tog bort den var att den villa bara lägga sig bakåt då mitt nackskydd tryckte mot det. Vindavvisaren gick inte justera längre bakåt och jag behöver ha sätet ”långt” bak, jag är 175 lång.
Nu har jag köpt en vindavvisare från Top Lift och monterade den i dag. Den passade perfekt, inga problem med nackskydd som tog emot. Den passade mycket bättre än originalet. Monteringsbeskrivningen var mycket dålig men det var inga problem att montera vindavvisaren ändå. Jag är supernöjd! Nu ser jag fram mot våren då jag får testa den.

I bought my MGB -74 for about 10 years ago now. When I restored it, I also bought a wind deflector from the MG-center. This wind deflector is considered original equipment. After many years of disappointment with this wind deflector, Removed it this spring and drove without it and felt the difference it made on the wind draft to the neck area. The reason why I removed it was that it wanted to fold backwards as my head rests pushed on it backwards. The wind deflector could not be adjusted more further back and I need to have the seat far back as I am 174 cm tall.
Now, I have purchased this wind deflector from Toplift and installed it today. It fits just perfect, no problems with the neck rests pushing on to the wind deflector. It fit much better than the original one. The mounting instruction was not so great at all, but there was still no problem to install the wind deflector. I am super pleased! I now look forward to spring again, to test it our properly.
