SmartTop BMW 4/M4 Convertible (F33/F83)
Enjoy that ultimate top-down driving experience with even more ease. The last thing you want to do is wait for your top to go up or down, demanding you to stay parked and hold a button down. Now the SmartTOP module allows you to operate your BMW Convertible top by using your Factory Key Fob as you walk up to, or away from your vehicle. Can’t wait? You can even put the top up or down while driving up to 40 kmh / 25 mph.
This SmartTOP fit BMW 4/M4 Series Convertible (F33/F83).
These are the key features (that you can set to active, or not) of the BMW 4 Series SmartTop:
- Remote control of convertible top Open/Close your convertible top using the original factory remote control key / key fob.
- Individually programmable Configure all functions of the module to meet your personal preferences via our signature blinker setup menu.
- Open/Close the top while driving Open/Close your top while driving. Speed programmable (up to 40kmh).
- One-Touch power convertible top “One-Touch” convertible top operation allows your top to open or close automatically.
- Passive / Invisible mode Turn the whole module off with an easy key sequence. Ideal when letting someone else drive your car.
- Top convenience mode Turning the ignition on or off does not interrupt convertible top operation.
- Separate window control Raise and lower the windows separately by remote without activating the top.
- Inverted switch logic Direction of center console top switch can be changed to “pull to open” and “push to close”.
- Reversible plug-in installation Remove any time allowing sale or return of a leased vehicle in it’s original condition.
- Plug-n-Play Wiring harness Custom designed plug-in-between wiring harness for extremely simple and quick installation included.
- USB Port for easy setup / updates This module can be configured and updated using any Mac or PC.

* Please note, that in some rare cases, for the BMW 4-Series convertible, it is not possible to enter the programming mode and change settings from inside the car. We have had one customer that could not do this so far. This does not change the behavior in any other sense, so the SmartTOP still works just fine and is possible to program from the computer via the USB to the SmartTOP. The manufacturer are aware of this, and for now there are no solution to this situation (but might be in future updates). This is only a small part of the BMW 4-Series cars that this occur on, but would like to inform you it might (very seldom) be the case for your car.

A really easy to install “must have” gadget for your 4-serie convertible.
The installation is done in just a couple of minutes, and a simple manual to follow. The settings can be changed from a computer or from inside of the car with just pressing a few buttons. The speedometer and the rev meter indicates which function and setting the module has.
I must also mention the fine service and support from Peter and Toplift.

Smarttop… otroligt att det inte ingår i en cabriolet redan från början?
Riktigt bra och enkel affär med Toplift som skötte allt snyggt från beställning till installation(som man gör själv). Smidigt att programmera, enkel att installera. Helt enkelt ett måste, rekommenderar Toplift till alla som har en cabriolet.

Really great and simple to order from Toplift, that handled everything great from ordering to installation (that you do on your own). It is easy to program, simple to install. This is really a must to have, I recommend Toplift to anyone who owns a convertible.

Beställde min 440 cab 2017 och ville inte ha comfortöppningen då vissa tjuvar kopplar sig in via den funktionen och öppnar bilarna obemärkt. Tyvärr fick jag inte med fjärröppnig av taket då & det kan inte eftermonteras eller beställas från BMW. Fick kontakt med Peter på Top Lift och fick funktionen eftermonterad (10 minuter) på plats. Fungerar precis lika bra som orginal (hade det på min förra BMW) har tillockmed fler inställningsmöjligheter. Rekommenderar denna produkt & Peter.

I ordered my BMW 440 convertible in 2017, and did not want the comfort opening option, as thieves might be able to connect themselves to this addition. This led to me not getting the function of opening the roof on distance, and t could not be installed afterwards from BMW. I got in contact with Peter at TopLift and I got the function installed (10 minutes). It works just as good as original (I had it on my previous BMW) and even has got more settings to play with. I recommend this product and Peter.
